This podcast was an experiment Bob started in early 2018 to understand the time commitment needed to create audiovisual content for this website.

Bob shifted the format around a lot in the first few episodes he produced. The fourth episode was never recorded, but the notes containing the research he did for it has been published. He continues to produce new episodes every two months.

You can subscribe to the podcast via this RSS feed. You can also listen on Apple iTunes and Spotify.

Season 1

Magazine writing

This is a list of the all the paid articles Bob published in technology magazines. So far they have all been written for Future Publishing titles.

Linux User and Developer

This (now defunct) technology magazine was pitched at full-time IT workers that use Linux as part of their day job. Bob wrote a big cover feature on using Docker, Vagrant, Puppet and Ansible in the spring of 2018.

  • LUD191 - Cover feature: Control Containers

Linux Format

This technology magazine is primarily pitched at hobbyists trying Linux for the first time. Bob originally wrote for it as a staff writer in 2009, then carried on contributing as a freelancer until 2012. He returned to freelance writing for Linux Format in the summer of 2017 and continued his contributions for a year afterwards.
